This article describes the assessment of the professional competence of future informatics and information technology teachers in the continuous education system for creating a database, the requirements for them, the types of control and their organization. Innovative methods and means of strengthening knowledge, criteria for evaluating professional competence were analyzed and their effectiveness was studied.
