Abstract
Begrüßen ist ein ausdrucksstarker Sprechakt im Zusammenhang mit der Soziopragmatik. Eine typische Unterrichtsstunde liefert meist zu wenige Beispiele für diese äußerst wichtige Phase der Kommunikation. Die Kenntnis der Wörter einer Sprache ist nur ein Teil des Sprechens; ebenso wichtig ist es zu wissen, wie und wo man sie verwendet und interpretiert. Begrüßen ist ein Sprechakt, der einem Kind direkt in seiner Muttersprache beigebracht wird. Wichtigkeit und kommunikative Funktion von Grüßen werden oft als zweitrangig angesehen. Dies bedeutet, dass Begrüßungen dazu dienen, das ultimative Ziel der Kommunikation zu erreichen.
