Abstract

Acute pneumonia remains one of the leading infectious diseases in early childhood and is associated with a high risk of severe clinical manifestations due to the anatomical and physiological immaturity of the respiratory system and immune response. The presence of comorbid conditions such as anemia, rickets, perinatal central nervous system injury, hypotrophy, and exudative–catarrhal diathesis can aggravate the course of the disease and contribute to the development of complications.
