
ELIMINATING LANGUAGE INTERFERENCE IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS

In the process of learning any language, the student acquires the language he is learning by comparing it with his native language. When learning a foreign language, the mother tongue has a negative or positive effect, while the interaction of the studied language features with the mother tongue helps to learn the language faster, that is, it has a positive effect, while incompatible features have a negative effect on language acquisition. In this case, the positive effect of the mother tongue is called transposition, and the negative effect is called the interference phenomenon.
