This article provides a scientific analysis of the didactic capabilities of the integral approach in music education and its pedagogical effectiveness. Five main didactic characteristics inherent to the integral approach — enhanced knowledge transfer, economical use of instructional time, ensuring deep and durable understanding, increased learning motivation, and the development of the ability to solve complex problems — are examined. The content of each characteristic and the indicators of pedagogical effectiveness are substantiated from a scientific and practical perspective.
