ANALYSIS OF THE AFFECTIONS OF ENGLISH CULTURE AND PEDAGOGY

Abstract

This article examines how English culture influences English language pedagogy, exploring historical contexts, cultural values, and contemporary teaching practices. It highlights the impact of the British colonial legacy, literary traditions, and cultural emphasis on individualism, debate, and innovation on teaching methods such as Task-Based Learning, Content and Language Integrated Learning, and Communicative Language Teaching. The role of technology in modern pedagogy is also discussed, alongside challenges like cultural sensitivity, equity, and maintaining learners' cultural identities.
