WORD COMPRESSION - AS A WIDELY USED METHOD OF OCCASIONAL REARRANGEMENT OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS

The article deals with the method of occasional rearrangement of phraseological units. In world linguistics, more and more attention is paid to the research of phraseological units based on the concept of semantic field. Researching the structure of the phraseological units representing atmospheric phenomena and the relationship between the units within the semantic field reveals the unique aspects of each language and makes it possible to determine its theoretical foundations. Taking into account the polysemous words formed by the word "Wind" from the point of view of the types of connections between their meanings showed that there are two types of connections between the meanings in the semantic structures of the studied phraseological units - subordinate and equal connections.
