Abstract

The present study investigates the linguocultural and morphological features of aphorisms expressing love for the homeland in English and Uzbek. Aphorisms are regarded as culturally marked linguistic units that encapsulate collective wisdom, national values, and historical experience. The research employs comparative, descriptive, and linguocultural methods to analyze the semantic, stylistic, and grammatical characteristics of selected aphorisms. Particular attention is paid to the conceptualization of the notions of homeland, patriotism, and love, as well as to the role of noun lexemes in shaping aphoristic meaning. The findings reveal both universal and culture-specific patterns in the representation of patriotic values, demonstrating the significance of aphorisms as carriers of national identity and cultural memory.
