Mazkur tadqiqotning maqsadi Garri Poter (Harry Potter) seriyasida mifologik arxetiplar va afsonaviy mavjudotlarning syujet va obrazlar tizimidagi funksional rolini aniqlashdan iborat. Tadqiqot zamonaviy fantastik adabiyotda mifologik strukturalarning narrativ qurilishdagi o‘rnini ilmiy asosda tahlil qilishga qaratilgan. Metodologiya sifat va miqdoriy tahlil uyg‘unligiga asoslandi: asar matnlari kontent-tahlil usuli orqali o‘rganilib, mifologik elementlar tasniflandi va statistik jihatdan umumlashtirildi. Qahramon obrazining rivojlanishi arxetip nazariyasi doirasida tahlil qilindi, intertekstual yondashuv yordamida esa afsonaviy mavjudotlar va ramziy motivlarning madaniy-manba asoslari aniqlashtirildi. Natijalar seriyada aniqlangan 27 ta asosiy afsonaviy mavjudot va bosh qahramonning rivojlanish modeli mifologik strukturalar bilan uzviy bog‘liqligini ko‘rsatdi. Tadqiqot fantastik matnlarda mifologik elementlarni tizimli tahlil qilish orqali arxetip nazariyasini empirik material asosida mustahkamlaydi hamda adabiy tahlil metodikasini takomillashtirishga xizmat qiladi.
