Abstract

The field of giftedness research has traditionally been divided into distinct disciplines, but interdisciplinary approaches are crucial for comprehending gifted individuals' complex cognitive processes. While acknowledging challenges like common language, shared methods, and shared values, the article emphasizes interdisciplinary research's potential to significantly enhance our understanding of giftedness and provide a more comprehensive and nuanced perspective on the cognitive domain of gifted individuals.
