Abstract

Information literacy has become one of the central competencies required of students in higher education, particularly in the context of the exponential growth of digital knowledge resources and the global shift toward technology-mediated learning. As the boundaries between reliable scholarship and unverified online content continue to blur, students are increasingly challenged not only to locate information, but also to critically evaluate, organize, and use it in ethical and academically appropriate ways. The ability to engage meaningfully with information is therefore recognized as a prerequisite for academic success, lifelong learning, and professional competitiveness in the knowledge economy.
