VICTIMOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: NATIONAL EXPERIENCE

Abstract
This article analyzes the victimological characteristics of domestic violence in Uzbekistan from the perspective of national experience. The article examines the theoretical foundations of domestic violence, the demographic, social, and psychological characteristics of victims, as well as institutional mechanisms for combating this problem in Uzbekistan. Special attention is given to the influence of national cultural and social factors on violence, the hidden nature of victimization, and victims' low legal awareness. Based on victimology, the article analyzes victims' behavior and attitudes towards the problem and presents evidence-based proposals for preventing domestic violence and supporting victims. The study evaluates existing legislative reforms, rehabilitation centers, and awareness-raising activities in Uzbekistan, emphasizing the latent nature of the problem and limitations in rural areas.
