Abstract

This article examines the specific features of improving the effectiveness of early crime prevention in the Republic of Poland. The study analyzes the institutional and legal framework of crime prevention, the role of the Police, local governments, educational institutions, and civil society organizations in preventing offenses before they occur. Particular attention is paid to community-oriented policing, local security programs, social prevention measures, and the implementation of modern digital technologies in crime prevention activities. The article also highlights current challenges facing the Polish crime prevention system and identifies several practices that may be useful for improving preventive mechanisms in other countries. The findings demonstrate that Poland’s success in crime prevention is largely based on interagency cooperation, public participation, decentralized security management, and evidence-based prevention strategies.
