51 patients with CKD were examined, 20 of them with CKD stage I-II (glomerular filtration rate - GFR ≥60 ml/min/1.73 m2, signs of kidney damage), 20 with CKD stage III (GFR 60-30 ml/min/ 1.73 m2), 11 with CKD stage IV (GFR 30-15 ml/min/1.73 m2). A questionnaire was conducted to identify limitations in daily activity, neuropsychological testing was performed using the MMSE scale, a test battery for frontal lobe dysfunction (FAB), and a test to assess regulatory functions. To clarify the etiology of CI, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was performed. In patients with chronic renal failure (CKD stages III-IV), cognitive impairment was detected more often than in patients without chronic kidney disease (CKD stages I-II).
