This article analyzes pathological changes in the blood vessels of the lower leg and foot in patients with diabetes mellitus in connection with post-COVID syndrome, their age-related characteristics, and the possibilities of immunohistochemical examination. Chronic hyperglycemia, endothelial dysfunction, oxidative stress, inflammatory processes, and microcirculatory disorders characteristic of diabetes mellitus play an important role in the formation of peripheral angiopathies.Downloads
