Intergenerational artistic succession is analyzed as an exchange of skill transfer and moral experience. Intangible heritage, cultural memory, and sources of collaborative creativity are conceptually compared. Mechanisms for example, co-performance, explanation of reason, and recreation are distinguished. A matrix is developed linking the interpretation rights of the young participant with the authority of the Master.
