Abstract

This article explores the linguopragmatic features of tradition and ritual discourse in contemporary English society. It examines how customs and rituals are represented through language and how tradition-related lexical units express cultural values, social relations, and communicative intentions. The study focuses on the pragmatic functions of linguistic expressions used in greetings, celebrations, weddings, funerals, and other ritual contexts.
