This article examines the concept of family discourse, its structural components, and its sociolinguistic features within the Uzbek family. It analyzes the role of social positions, hierarchical statuses, and norms of verbal behavior in family communication. The study highlights the relationships of dominance and subordination in the speech of roles such as father, mother, child, and mother-in-law/daughter-in-law, as expressed through forms of address and emotive-pragmatic tools.
