The contemporary Turkic world has become an increasingly significant geopolitical and cultural space, linking countries across Eurasia through shared linguistic, historical, and cultural heritage. The growing political and economic cooperation among Turkic states has contributed to the rising importance of the Turkish language as a medium of communication, education, and cultural exchange. At the same time, globalization, digitalization, migration, and technological advancements have created new challenges and opportunities for Turkish language education. This article examines the geopolitical significance of the Turkic world in the twenty-first century and analyzes the emerging challenges in teaching Turkish as a foreign and second language. Particular attention is paid to intercultural communication, digital learning environments, curriculum modernization, and the role of language education in strengthening cooperation among Turkic nations.
