This article sheds light on the theoretical foundations for developing students' creative thinking in the process of music education. The concept of creative thinking, its pedagogical-psychological essence, and its importance in music education are analyzed. Additionally, the necessity of developing creative thinking in the professional formation of future music teachers is justified.
