Abstract
This article highlights the role of orthodontics in modern dentistry, emphasizing its impact not only on aesthetic appearance but also on overall human health and quality of life. Although misalignment of teeth is often considered merely a cosmetic issue, it actually negatively affects chewing function, speech, and even breathing. The article provides detailed information about the types of orthodontic treatments, their advantages, and the differences in treatment approaches between children and adults. Thanks to today’s technologies, aesthetic and comfortable treatment methods are becoming increasingly popular. Additionally, the article discusses the importance of early orthodontic intervention and the scientific basis behind a healthy smile.
