IMPROVEMENT OF THE OPERATIONAL CHARACTERISTICS OF A VEHICLE COOLING SYSTEM USING A MECHATRONIC CONTROL SYSTEM

Abstract
The operation of an internal combustion engine involves not only high mechanical loads but also critically high temperatures. To maintain the optimal operating temperature under such demanding conditions, the power unit is equipped with a cooling system. There are two main types of cooling systems: air cooling and liquid cooling. In liquid cooling systems, a radiator is used to dissipate excess heat from the engine; in some car models, there may be several radiators. An electric fan is mounted on this component.
