The article considers the scientific opinions of scholars, practical experience, and analysis of current regulatory legal documents when discussing the circumstances of criminal cases related to extremism that need to be clarified during pre-investigation checks, as well as the issues of initiating or refusing to initiate criminal proceedings based on their essence.
